Another one of Raven's stories.....

I just wanted to get this written down because I thought it was so funny.  This was around easter time and I wish I had it recorded because you have to hear her voice and see her face when she tells this story.  She's told me a couple of times now.  I think she thought it was one of the worst things a child could do.

Raven:  " Creed!"  "He's bad!  He's a boy at school and he's bad....guess what!  guess what!"  "He lied to the Easter Bunny!!!!"  (she's nodding and expressing her horror.) "He (the Easter Bunny) asked if He's (Creed) been good and he said 'Yes.'  He lied!!!"

"He hits me."  so I asked "do you tell your teacher?" and her respond was..."He lied!!!" then after a little moment of thought.  "I should tell his mom.  She would get soooo mad.  He would get in trouble cuz she the nicest mommy."

I can't tell you how many times she would get this mad/frustrated look on her face and say "He lied."  I mean how could you lie to the Easter Bunny that's like telling a lie to Santa and that just isn't right! In her mind, he should have responded 'No.  I'm a bad little boy because I like to hit Raven and be mean to her.'  Anyway, I thought it was really cute.

Talia's weekend with Auntie

Talia was taking pictures of me.  She thought my poses were pretty funny.  I'm glad I can be so funny to a seven year old.  hahaha!!!

She is so cute.  I think her pics turned out nice.  We didn't have a lot of time.  Chris and I were heading to the BYU Ballroom dance show.  It was so awesome, by the way.  They are national champs and put on a great show.  I'd go again, for sure.

1st Birthday!!!!!

This picture is after his chocolate cake.  He played with the balloons for a couple of hours.

These two pics were taken this morning as he woke up.  He is such a cutie!
His first birthday was a lot of fun.  Brennan actually fell asleep about 15 minutes before everyone arrived so he wasn't excited about anything when we woke him up.  Once he got a few bites of cake, he just started grabbing bigger and bigger chunks.  I thought it was gross to watch him eat that much sugar.  My family and Chris' were here to celebrate with us.  Angela brought these really cool plastic, bubble things.  They were a huge hit with all of the kids.

WHAT MOM??????

I think this pic is so cute.  He was busted playing in the pans.  I just let him though.  I feel bad that he has been stuck in the house all winter and bored to death with his same old toys.

FITS! FITS!! FITS FITS FITS FITS....DOES IT EVER END????

Just imagine it....The first photo is Brennan thinking, "just try me dad!"  The second, "I told you I'd get mad!"  Yesterday, he just discovered how to throw a major fit.  I believe we encouraged it by throwing food in his mouth every time he made a peep, but who's perfect?  He just figured out that if he screams (not cries) with a really loud pitch and for a really long time, he might get what he wants.  We went for a drive over to Saratoga Springs and he threw this fit from there all the way back to American Fork.  He wasn't hungry, he was getting even....I guess.  But I still think he's the cutest boy ever.  :)

PHOTO SHOOT!!!

We had such a fun time!  We kind of did a girls day out, with the exception of Brennan.  I did their hair and a little makeup and then we went for a drive and took pictures along the way.  Later on that day, we watched the Lone Peak/Hunter Softball Game.  Raven was so excited to see her mom.  She kept yelling for her while she was coaching on third base.  Anyway, I think they are the cutest girls.  Their pics turned out nice.

CAMPING AT OTTER CREEK

These photos were taken Easter weekend.  We spent Friday & Saturday with my family, fishing at Otter Creek.  Chris caught about five fish.  He's quite the fisherman.  We also had dutch oven paprika chicken.  I cooked the noodles at home and Chris did the rest in the dutch oven.  It was a big hit with the fam.  Anyway, it was freezing cold during the night.  Brennan was roasting, Chris was comfortable and I was awake most of the night.  Eventually, I woke Chris up and he drove me around for about an hour, so I could warm up.  He is such a sweetheart.  Brennan sweat pretty bad and as you can see, he had some pretty cool hat hair.  Easter Sunday we went to the Webb's for dinner.  Brennan and Grandpa had some fun outside.  He really loves his grandpa!

MORE MUSIC...HE LOVES IT!

Chris and Brennan play the piano together often.  They both love it.  Brennan always finds his way to the guitar or to the piano.  I'm hoping he'll have a love for music as he gets older.

MEAL TIME!!!!

He is getting so big!  I can't believe it!  In a week, he will be a year old.  We thought that it was funny, he couldn't get his bib off and he was trying pretty hard so we pulled out the camera.  I am having so much fun being home with him.  I adore his smile, with his little teeth and nothing can replace the hugs that I get probably a hundred times a day.  I love it! And I love being a mom!!!

MORE CUTE PICS!!!!

These pictures range from late February to the beginning of March.  He is just growing so fast.  His cousin, Braxton is now six months old.  The stool in the kitchen has to be one of Brennan's favorite places to play in the house.  It's like a huge obstacle course for him.  He crawls under them, shimmies backward under them, pushes them around the kitchen, attempts to climb on them, and YES he even sucks on the posts.  I know, I know....It's disgusting, but kids will be kids! :)  I forgot to mention...Brennan LOVES music!

BRENNAN'S NEW EXPRESSION

Is that a look of pure disgust or what???  I love it!!!  Chris didn't know it but he was basically pulling the same face when I took the picture.  He was in the middle of changing his expression just as I snapped.  It was the funniest thing.  I was hoping to get it, but you can kind of see that they were pulling the same face.  Brennan started using this expression near the end of February.  He's been looking at almost everyone he meets this way.  It's kind of funny.

ICE FISHING @ BEAR LAKE

Chris and I went ice fishing at Bear Lake the first week of February.  So, as you can see it has been a long time since I've posted anything.  It's now the first week of April.  Anyway, we didn't catch anything, but it was a lot of fun just trying.

Our Family Motto

"Come what may and LOVE it!"
