6 weeks

I need to set up these pics for you. It was a hectic afternoon, in which I was attempting to be everywhere all at the same time. Brennan had just finished eating and I was getting him ready for a nap. In the meantime, I had also prepared Jenna to lay down calmly in her rocker. As I was reading to Brennan and putting him in his bed, Jenna started screaming her head off. She was bright red and sweaty from her outburst. Seconds after wrapping her in this swaddling blanket this was the result and I had to take pics.

As her mother, I have to say that I think she is absolutely beautiful. She is now sixs weeks and she is a wonderful baby. We have been blessed with great babies. Both she and Brennan have been farely easy babies. She is now sleeping 6-7 hours a night. She is also very alert. She loves to smile at her daddy. He calms her with his charm everytime I've given up. We are having a lot of fun with our sweet children. Brennan calls her "Jen jen" and often tells her "it's okay Jen jen." It's really cute.

"Family"

So you might be wondering why I would post this picture. I love it! It was one of those moments where you think to yourself, "I've got to get a picture of this." So I did! Brennan loves to stack, dump, rearrange, and organize every item in the house. Lately, he's been playing with my "family" decoration. When I walked into the room he yelled "LOOK MAMA!" I've grown very fond of that phrase. I love that he wants to show mama!

I was talking with my sister in law Natalee, the other day and I told her that I loved the candids shots that she gets of her kids. She mentioned that she tries to make it a point to grab the camera once a day and snap a couple of pictures. I thought it was a great idea. So I've been trying to grab the camera each time I think of it. They grow up too fast and I want to have pictures of our memories.

We sure know how to make a mess...

Brennan thought that winter glove was the coolest thing ever! As you can see we had fun making a big mess. He's a great helper though...he picks it all up at clean up time. I've got this philosophy to leave the mess until clean up time. I'm not following my kids around all day cleaning up messes. So expect messes of this kind in our home. That's what makes a home, right? :) I forgot to mention that he threw every one of those toys at me. He thinks it's funny and he doesn't quite get it that the big ones kind of hurt.

Her first bow

I've tried a couple of times to get a bow in her hair but this was my first successful attempt. I think she looks cute. I can't wait to get some of the big, adorable head bands!

My little boy is getting so big

It makes me so sad to think he is growing up sooooo fast. I am trying to savor every moment. It's hard but I try to put down the broom and play :) I love my son. He's a good boy and he brings a smile to my face everyday. It is really fun watching him explore and learn. At times it can be hard for me to watch, but I love the moments where he is learning to socialize with other children. Sometimes I want to pounce :) but it's all part of learning both for Brennan and me.

And if you can't tell, Brennan loves beanies! He get wears one everyday.

Edaname (soy bean)

Brennan has been really funny lately. These pics are of his dramatic attempt to open soy bean shells. They are basically the same as sweet peas. He was grunting and pulling faces. It was so funny. Our little independent boy likes to shell them himself. It can be pretty entertaining for Chris and I.

Our Family Motto

"Come what may and LOVE it!"
